Launching ourselves into 2009, we opened with our second instalment of Kandi Lounge.

Kandi Lounge supplies the soundtrack for a global club collective. A constituency of cool club kids who want to take time out from the excess, whilst keeping a foot in the door of their favourite Hed Kandi dancefloor. Kandi Lounge supplies a laid back, cocktail sipping slant on their favourite club tracks with a selection of upfront originals and remixes from industry supremes.

Two discs featuring 24 full-length tracks, Kandi Lounge’s esteemed guests include the likes of old friends Crazy P with the low-slung funk of their Lie Lost, Ninja Tunes’ finest Mr Scruff offers his signature sweet sound, a perfect fit for this collection. An injection of synthesized pop funkiness comes by way of Let Me Know from disco-vixen Roisin Murphy topped off with appearances from Kandi regulars Reel People, plus a brilliant cover of David Bowie’s Fashion from Joey Negro’s Sunburst Band.

Kandi Lounge provides a short break from the much loved Hed Kandi hedonism, allowing you to gather your senses in preparation for another full on year of Hed Kandi fabulousness.
